The Kitchen Knife

The kitchen knife of 20 centimeter blade length by 4 width
bearing the signature of "Cloud and Water"

It was more than 30 years ago that
I inquired for the best cutlery at the old establishment.
The storeowner himself showed it for me saying that
it was the best blade made in Japan usable in many ways.

Bearing imbrication on the sword blade,
resisting in silence the heavy tasks everyday,
still it has the solid haft
with no nick on the blade at all
with the point still sharp

It is heavily glittering
in a silvery white.
