About Life

For "Roaring and Living",  Poetry Book by Sachio Tsuda

There is no life or death where they exist, but
Life and death appear where they are exhausted

In an intoxication of drinking alone
My five viscera, six entrails and circulatory organs
Started to work vividly, and
Everything that came into my mouth
Became really delicious

Filled by the sharp pulses
The eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, spirit and
The billions of brain cellules
Began to move fully actively

(I, myself, too
Deeply nod at
The tradition of burying the dead
In the earth)
