Distance, Time and
Space

In Newark
IC Passport.
Fingerprints by computer system at the
immigration.
The time is wriggling in parallel in a curious
way.
Hungarian President points out
the violation of personal rights caused by
the immoderate measures against the terrorism.
4 citizens were killed by gun for no reason in
Newark because of entanglements during the
basket ball games. As if being nothing to do, TV
also reports that 235 persons in total were
killed by guns in New York up to now in the
first half of this year, the number of which is
5 percent less than last year. The time seems
like inactively stagnating over here.
In Elizabeth
Spring Street
The serene lodge just beside the highway.
Centering on the reception,
close rapports with other visitors every morning
are there.
Hazard Place
The misty rain.
The time to be recorded which disappeared
faraway.
In North
Bergen
The main purpose of this trip
to see a friend after a lapse of 3 years,
searching for our possible future
of the same generation..
In Manhattan
Fifth Avenue
A big demonstration of the churches' people
from various cities against prejudices and
discriminations..
Waving PFLAG's flooded in the avenue.
Marching Pride.
Madison
Avenue
Still standing gravely outside the time,
the building of the black granite is shining in
the rain,
just the same as 18 years ago.
East 54th
Street
At 5 o'clock in the afternoon on a Thursday in
November, 18 years ago, we left the office and
walked with folded arms one another breezily to
the Indian restaurant bar which was 2 blocks
away from the office, where
we sat down face to face with a table in
between, chattered, laughed out laud, talked
about poetry and lightly kissed a kiss of
friendship over the table; enjoying foods and
drinks; then late at night, we could listen to
the poetry reading by an actor wearing a turban
with a rhythmically trilling pronunciation in a
resonant voice.
Glancing at her wrist watch, she said.
"Wow!, it's already 11:30, I have to go home
quick,"
and she stood up.
After paying the bill, I went outside chasing
her and found her standing beside an yellow cab
which had just stopped there.
"What kind of perfume do you wear? It's a very
nice fragrance."
"Perfume?, Oh! I don't wear any perfume. It's my
habit to
shampoo every early morning."
Without a time of my touching her, she got into
the car.
The car left there silently.
In the Plane
The time passing very slowly.
The huge distance exceeding ordinariness.
Flying where now?
