An Extract from Diary


Woke up at 5 o'clock in the morning.
Still inky darkness.
Every morning , heavy hangover,　but,
fatigue turned down too much drinking last night.
Unusually good condition this morning.

A cup of powdered tea.
Tranquil flavor.
Glossy green.
Soft bitter sweetness.
Delicious!

Thinking until when I can continue writing poems,
casually I remember
what the painter Shinji Hayashi has once said to me gently,
"For a journey, the best way is you go with it by yourself."
