The Athenian

Just when I thought you had gone away
One morning I found you again
Walking on familiar streets
Which still looked and smelled the same
If you look back
You will find me there
Though you will never know my name.
October 18, 1995
To Costas and Lydia

We greet the great man in Porto Carras
Who married a lady of considerable class
Apart from the wine, most fragrant and fine
They produced two kids also sweet and divine
Would the assembled variety of high society
Join me with a glass of smooth Mellisanthi
To wish the Carras much joy and more bounty.
