Beat by the Heat

The sun high up in the sky,
heat radiating to the earth,
so hot you think you?fll die,
another desert day?fs birth.

Summer days, scorching heat,
sweat pouring from our pores,
feeling tired and just so beat,
whenever you step outdoors.

Each day warmer than before,
salty lips, so you want to drink,
you had enough, you get more,
taking a nap, a couple of winks.

Lazy days turn to warm nights,
tossing, turning to hot to sleep,
the moonlit sky ever so bright,
many thoughts you can?ft keep.

Beginning to wish it was fall,
seasons change just in time,
wouldn?ft survive with the mall,
summer days the sun will shine.
