In life we say
we forgive, but we don’t,
we smile a fake smile, we’re
still upset,
can’t forgive when your anger
won’t,
those hostile feelings leaves us
regret.
Forgiveness is the hardest thing
to do,
you can’t remain angry or even
mad,
for wiping the slate clean
starts anew,
and it will make you happy not
sad.
I know there is truth and what I
say,
having felt the void within my
heart,
plagued by forgiveness is this
way,
it’s hard to get built up anger
to part.
Each morning I pray to learn to
forgive,
not just the words, the feeling
of relief,
true forgiveness make us happy
to live,
when you forgive it brings you
belief.
The burden, the pressure will be
gone,
knowing God will forgive you as
well,
without the stress you’ll sing a
song,
a step closer to Heaven away
from hell.
