Make Believe Land

Lost in the misconception of earthly schemes,
in a world dominated by power and self-greed,
we focus on the fantasy of our nightly dreams,
searching to find the hope we desperately need.

Transcending into the corridors of our mind,
where reality blends with a magical illusion,
we discover the suspension of passing time,
a land of happiness without any conclusions.

Memories are rewritten by our own perception,
holding our pleasurable thoughts and treasures,
often difficult to separate truth from deception,
but one’s contentment is all that is measured.

In dreamland the complexity is all but gone,
the struggle to survive is always to be won,
happiness floats on a cloud to a musical song,
one’s soul and body connect to become as one.

This land of yesterday, it holds no tomorrow,
only excitement and pleasure of present living,
nothing is old, nothing new, there is no sorrow,
just a realm of make believe that keeps giving.
