Poems of Samuel E. Stone

By Design

Gazing across the starlit sky,
the vast emptiness of space,
as we dare to wonder why,
here itfs a competitive race.

Intrigue is in the unknown,
we search both far and near,
finding ourselves dethroned,
still life, is precious and dear.

For enduringly we practice,
this act of just simple living,
wefre no different than a catus,
contentment is found in giving.

Many mysteries bestowed,
down lifefs windy highway,
just there for us to behold,
dotting the nightfs skyway.

Life is simple by design,
to live, love, and cherish,
never meant to be defined,
from earth we will perish.
