Four Seasons (# 5 /10)

Spring
Like life itself a mere drop of rain will fall,
a time for a new season, a season for the time,
an evergreen tree once standing ever so tall,
now lays in ruin as the sun begins to shine.

Summer
Sunlight in the sky radiating an intolerable heat,
plants and trees withering as dirt turns to dust,
rivers slow to a trickle but nature can’t be beat,
hardship of the season come but survive we must.

Autumn
Winter, Summer, Spring and then comes Fall,
leaves showering down covering the ground,
mighty wind whips through the trees so tall,
branches rustle, then the loud cracking sound.

Winter
Artistic prism we find in each flake of snow,
designed by our Creator in heaven on high,
enjoying beauty yet so much we do not know,
without questions never stopping to wonder why.
