Reminiscing Past

Reminiscing of days that have come and gone,
those good memories and some that were bad,
passing time goes quickly but appears so long,
remembering both the happy times and the sad.

Nothing can slow or stop the passage of time,
moments to hours dashing away in the night,
vivid impressions in the corridors of our mind,
just living life with our death always in sight.

Precious moments pass without leaving a clue,
too busy consumed in our wants and desires,
so we never appreciate the sky of radiate blue,
nor the beauty of nature that can vanish in a fire.

Each moment we live is a gift from heaven above,
a touch, a smell, a sight, so much here to delight,
existence is the result of our Lord’s eternal love,
enjoy each moment without hesitation or fright.

It is the beginning of the rest of your life on earth,
take time to feel, to listen, to touch and to just see,
for the clock in life has been ticking since your birth,
be thankful and be whatever you were meant to be.
