Our earthly
journey leads to Heaven’s gate,
an adventure in finding one’s
eternal way,
choosing good over evil before
it’s too late,
temptation will plaque us every
single day.
Living is a series of making the
right choices,
the difference of right and
wrong in our heart,
finding one’s way in the mist of
all the voices,
the land where decisions all
have a grey part.
Very little in this world is
white and black,
good and evil mixed with the
shades of grey,
searching for the courage which
we often lack,
having the insight to know when
to leave or stay.
Self absorbed in want of power
we feel the need,
we often wage a battle within
our heart and will,
pleasure and self-indulgence
create it’s own greed,
in search of happiness we live
for the instant thrill.
In conflicts between our wants
and desires we live,
unable to understand the world
until we find love,
then we learn the greatest
treasures come in giving,
and leads us on the path to the
Heavens high above.
